Tamb\u00e9 \u00e9s l\u2019objecte m\u00e9s lluny\u00e0 que es pot veure a simple vista en una nit fosca. \u00c9s per aquest motiu que es tenen refer\u00e8ncies d\u2019observacions d\u2019aquesta gal\u00e0xia des de fa molts segles, com explicarem m\u00e9s endavant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>Caracter\u00edstiques d\u2019Andr\u00f2meda<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Andr\u00f2meda \u00e9s la gal\u00e0xia m\u00e9s gran del Grup Local. Aquest \u00e9s un grup format per m\u00e9s de 30 gal\u00e0xies, entre les quals es troba la Via L\u00e0ctia. Amb uns 150.000 anys llum de di\u00e0metre, Andr\u00f2meda \u00e9s un 50% m\u00e9s gran que la nostra gal\u00e0xia, i cont\u00e9 m\u00e9s d\u2019un bili\u00f3 d\u2019estrelles, mentre que la Via L\u00e0ctia est\u00e0 formada per uns 400 milions d\u2019astres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Malgrat aquesta clara difer\u00e8ncia de mida, la nostra gal\u00e0xia \u00e9s m\u00e9s massiva. El motiu d\u2019aix\u00f2 resideix en la mat\u00e8ria fosca. Aquest tipus de mat\u00e8ria \u00e9s invisible (no interactua amb la llum). L\u2019\u00fanica manera de poder detectar-la actualment \u00e9s a trav\u00e9s dels efectes gravitatoris que t\u00e9 en les gal\u00e0xies o altres cossos celestes. Aquest tipus de mat\u00e8ria \u00e9s el m\u00e9s com\u00fa a l\u2019univers, representant el 85% de la mat\u00e8ria existent en el mateix. La Via L\u00e0ctia cont\u00e9 molta m\u00e9s mat\u00e8ria fosca que Andr\u00f2meda, el que fa que sigui m\u00e9s massiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">A l\u2019igual que la majoria de gal\u00e0xies a l\u2019univers, Andr\u00f2meda t\u00e9 en el seu centre un forat negre supermassiu, amb una massa milions de vegades m\u00e9s gran que la del Sol. A m\u00e9s, aquesta gal\u00e0xia posseeix el que anomenem gal\u00e0xies sat\u00e8l\u00b7lit. De la mateixa manera que la Lluna orbita la Terra, hi ha al menys 13 gal\u00e0xies de petita mida que orbiten Andr\u00f2meda. La m\u00e9s gran d\u2019elles \u00e9s M110, que es pot veure amb un telescopi b\u00e0sic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>Descoberta i observacions<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Com hem explicat anteriorment, la gal\u00e0xia d\u2019Andr\u00f2meda es pot veure amb facilitat en una nit fosca, sense necessitat de cap telescopi. El registre m\u00e9s antic en el qual es menciona Andr\u00f2meda \u00e9s del 965 despr\u00e9s de Crist, atribu\u00eft a l\u2019astr\u00f2nom persa Abd al-Rahman al-Sufi. Al 1612, poc despr\u00e9s de la invenci\u00f3 del telescopi, l\u2019astr\u00f2nom alemany Simon Marius va donar una primera descripci\u00f3 de la gal\u00e0xia, basada en les observacions amb telescopi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Durant segles, els astr\u00f2noms van considerar Andr\u00f2meda com un component de la Via L\u00e0ctia, ja que es creia que era una nebulosa. D\u2019aqu\u00ed prov\u00e9 el seu primer nom: Nebulosa d\u2019Andr\u00f2meda. No va ser fins als anys 1920 que l\u2019astr\u00f2nom americ\u00e0 Edwin Hubble va determinar de manera concloent que Andr\u00f2meda era en realitat una gal\u00e0xia m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de la Via L\u00e0ctia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>Formaci\u00f3 de la gal\u00e0xia<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La formaci\u00f3 de la gal\u00e0xia d\u2019Andr\u00f2meda va comen\u00e7ar fa uns 10 mil milions d\u2019anys, amb la col\u00b7lisi\u00f3 i la conseg\u00fcent fusi\u00f3 de petites protogal\u00e0xies. Aquestes eren gal\u00e0xies en proc\u00e9s de formaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Aquestes col\u00b7lisions van formar la major part de l\u2019halo de la gal\u00e0xia i el seu disc. Durant aquesta \u00e8poca, la formaci\u00f3 d\u2019estrelles hauria estat molt freq\u00fcent. A m\u00e9s, hi ha forts indicis que mostren que una de les gal\u00e0xies sat\u00e8l\u00b7lit d\u2019Andr\u00f2meda (M32) era una gal\u00e0xia de mida normal, massiva, per\u00f2 que ha perdut gran part de les seves estrelles per l\u2019acci\u00f3 que Andr\u00f2meda provoca en ella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">En els propers 4 mil milions d\u2019anys, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cosmoespai.com\/cat\/una-propera-collisio-amb-andromeda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Andr\u00f2meda i la Via L\u00e0ctia es fusionaran<\/a><\/strong>, donant lloc a una gal\u00e0xia m\u00e9s gran.
