Aix\u00f2 vol dir que les gal\u00e0xies s\u2019allunyen les unes de les altres cada cop m\u00e9s r\u00e0pid. Si aquest proc\u00e9s continua indefinidament, arribar\u00e0 un moment en que les gal\u00e0xies s\u2019allunyaran tan r\u00e0pidament les unes de les altres (m\u00e9s r\u00e0pid que la velocitat de la llum) que nom\u00e9s podrem veure les estrelles de la nostra gal\u00e0xia, mentre que la resta del cel ser\u00e0 una completa foscor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tot i aix\u00ed, com podem estar segurs que l\u2019univers s\u2019est\u00e0 expandint?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>L\u2019efecte Doppler i la longitud d\u2019ona<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La descoberta de l\u2019expansi\u00f3 de l\u2019univers s\u2019atribueix normalment a l\u2019astr\u00f2nom americ\u00e0 Edwin Hubble. Per entendre com va arribar Hubble a la conclusi\u00f3 que l\u2019univers s\u2019est\u00e0 expandint, cal saber qu\u00e8 \u00e9s la longitud d\u2019ona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La llum es propaga en forma d\u2019ones a trav\u00e9s l\u2019espai. Com tot tipus d\u2019ona, varien entre un punt d\u2019energia m\u00e0xima, el pic, i un d\u2019energia m\u00ednima, anomenat vall . La longitud d\u2019ona \u00e9s l\u2019espai que hi ha entre dos pics d\u2019una ona. Cada tipus de llum t\u00e9 una longitud d\u2019ona diferent: com m\u00e9s energ\u00e8tica \u00e9s, menor \u00e9s la seva longitud d\u2019ona, i com menys energ\u00e8tica sigui, major ser\u00e0 la longitud d\u2019ona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">A mesura que una raig de llum es propaga per l\u2019espai, la seva longitud d\u2019ona es veur\u00e0 afectada. Si l\u2019objecte que emet llum s\u2019apropa, la seva longitud d\u2019ona ser\u00e0 menor (es diu que tendeix al blau, una llum m\u00e9s energ\u00e8tica). Pel contrari, si un objecte emetent llum s\u2019allunya, la seva llum tindr\u00e0 una longitud d\u2019ona major (es diu que tendeix al vermell, que \u00e9s un tipus de llum menys energ\u00e8tic). Aquest efecte es coneix com a efecte Doppler, i \u00e9s el mateix que quan sentim una sirena de policia: quan s\u2019apropa sentim un so m\u00e9s fort, per\u00f2 quan s\u2019allunya el so es va afeblint. No obstant, quan un objecte s&#8217;allunya de nosaltres, la seva longitud d&#8217;ona es fa m\u00e9s gran.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>Les observacions de Hubble<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Mitjan\u00e7ant un telescopi de l\u2019observatori del Mont Wilson, Hubble va observar els espectres (dels quals podem deduir la longitud d\u2019ona de la llum onservada) de moltes estrelles i gal\u00e0xies. Va descobrir que la llum que arribava de totes elles (excepte les que es trobaven a prop de la Via L\u00e0ctia) tendia al vermell, el que volia dir que s\u2019allunyaven de nosaltres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">A m\u00e9s, utilitzant una t\u00e8cnica espec\u00edfica per poder calcular la dist\u00e0ncia a la que es trobaven aquests objectes, va descobrir que la majoria de gal\u00e0xies de l\u2019univers s\u2019allunyen de nosaltres, i que com m\u00e9s lluny es troben, m\u00e9s r\u00e0pidament ho fan. Aquest proc\u00e9s es podria assimilar a uns punts (representant gal\u00e0xies) dibuixats sobre la superf\u00edcie d\u2019un globus. A mesura que el globus s\u2019infla, el punts se separen cada cop m\u00e9s. Tamb\u00e9 podem observar que, com m\u00e9s allunyat est\u00e0 un punt d\u2019un l\u2019altre, m\u00e9s r\u00e0pidament se separen. Aix\u00f2 va demostrar que l\u2019univers no \u00e9s est\u00e0tic (com es pensava fins llavors), sin\u00f3 que s\u2019est\u00e0 expandint, i ho fa a un ritme accelerat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Cal subratllar que aquest proc\u00e9s d\u2019expansi\u00f3 no \u00e9s com una bomba que esclata (totes les parts s\u2019allunyen de les altres des d\u2019un centre com\u00fa), sin\u00f3 que \u00e9s el propi espai que s\u2019expandeix (el que provoca la separaci\u00f3 de les gal\u00e0xies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>El dest\u00ed de l\u2019univers<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Avui en dia, i tenint en compte els coneixements actuals de l\u2019univers, existeixen tres teories que expliquen com podria morir l\u2019univers. Ja he parlat d\u2019elles en anteriors articles: el <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cosmoespai.com\/cat\/el-big-crunch-quan-tot-torni-al-comencament\/\" target=\"_blank\">Big Crunch<\/a><\/strong>, el <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cosmoespai.com\/cat\/el-big-freeze-la-mort-gelida-de-lunivers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Big Freeze<\/a><\/strong>, i el <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cosmoespai.com\/cat\/que-proposa-la-teoria-del-big-rip\/\" target=\"_blank\">Big Rip<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Les dues \u00faltimes teories semblen ser les m\u00e9s probables a causa del ritme accelerat de l\u2019expansi\u00f3 de l\u2019univers, que es creu que est\u00e0 provocada per l\u2019anomenada energia fosca, un tipus d\u2019energia ex\u00f2tica que exerceix una for\u00e7a oposada a la gravetat, provocant la ja coneguda
