A m\u00e9s, aquest element \u00e9s conegut per ser altament reactiu, pel que es troba present en m\u00e9s d\u2019un mili\u00f3 de compostos (molt m\u00e9s que cap altre material).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">El carboni \u00e9s un element s\u00f2lid en condicions est\u00e0ndard, i ho segueix sent a altes temperatures. El seu punt de fusi\u00f3 \u00e9s de 3 550\u00baC, i el d\u2019ebullici\u00f3 de 3 800\u00baC. Tot i que els efectes del carboni en la salut no s\u00f3n gaire importants, alguns dels seus compostos tenen un elevat nivell de toxicitat, o poden causar danys als pulmons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">A m\u00e9s, com ja \u00e9s not\u00edcia des de fa anys, els \u00f2xids de carboni (el fam\u00f3s CO<sub>2<\/sub> o CO) es caracteritzen per ser els majors contribu\u00efdors al canvi clim\u00e0tic, que fa augmentar en gran mesura la temperatura del planeta. Fa 2 d\u00e8cades, el contingut a l\u2019atmosfera de CO<sub>2<\/sub> (di\u00f2xid de carboni) era d\u2019unes 280 ppm (parts per mili\u00f3). Avui en dia, per\u00f2, aquesta xifra \u00e9s de m\u00e9s de 400 ppm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>Abund\u00e0ncia<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">El carboni \u00e9s el quart element m\u00e9s com\u00fa a l\u2019univers. Algunes nano-formes del carboni s\u00f3n el graf\u00e8 i els ful\u00b7lerens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Finalment, el carboni \u00e9s un element que tamb\u00e9 es troba present en diversos hidrocarburs i energies f\u00f2ssils, com el petroli, el carb\u00f3 o el gas natural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>Usos del carboni<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Les fibres de carboni s\u2019utilitzen regularment en la fabricaci\u00f3, per exemple, de canyes de pescar, raquetes de tenis, i avions, ja que s\u00f3n extremadament fortes i lleugeres.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>El carboni tamb\u00e9 ha revolucionat la nanotecnologia amb la descoberta de nano-tubs de carboni, \u00e0mpliament utilitzats en la ind\u00fastria de l\u2019electr\u00f2nica.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Tamb\u00e9 s\u2019utilitzen pastilles de carb\u00f3 per absorbir les toxines del sistema digestiu i com un remei per la flatul\u00e8ncia.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>El diamant s\u2019utilitza en m\u00e0quines de perforaci\u00f3 per tallar pedres i altres materials durs, a causa de la seva immensa resist\u00e8ncia i durabilitat.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>L\u2019anomenat carb\u00f3 activat s\u2019empra en sistemes de filtrat i de purificaci\u00f3 d\u2019aigua.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>L\u2019is\u00f2top radioactiu carboni-14, descobert al 1940, s\u2019utilitza en la dataci\u00f3 radiom\u00e8trica.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>La seva descoberta<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La descoberta del carboni data de temps prehist\u00f2rics. S\u2019utilitzava per antigues civilitzacions humanes en la forma de carb\u00f3. El diamant va ser descobert a Xina al 2 500 abans de Crist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Malgrat tot aix\u00f2, el carboni es va descobrir com un nou element al 1722 per Antoine Ferchault, que va proposar que aquest nou element es podia utilitzar per transformar ferro en acer (com es fa igualment avui en dia). Al 1786, A.
