Aix\u00f2 es denomina fusi\u00f3 nuclear. En el proc\u00e9s, les fusions d\u2019\u00e0toms produeixen una gran quantitat d\u2019energia, \u00e9s a dir, de llum, inicialment en l\u2019estat m\u00e9s energ\u00e8tic de tots: els rajos gamma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Normalment es diu que la llum del Sol tarda 8 minuts i 20 segons en arribar a la superf\u00edcie terrestre, i aquestes dades s\u00f3n certes, per\u00f2 el temps que tarda la llum en sortir del Sol \u00e9s molt superior, de l\u2019ordre de les desenes de milers d\u2019anys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">El viatge de la llum a trav\u00e9s del Sol<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Una vegada s\u2019emeten fotons (que s\u00f3n les part\u00edcules de la llum) a causa de la fusi\u00f3 nuclear, aquests han de rec\u00f3rrer un veritable laberint abans d\u2019arribar a la superf\u00edcie del Sol, situada a uns 690 000 kil\u00f2metres del seu centre. Aquest cam\u00ed est\u00e0 ocupat per trilions i trilions de protons que s\u2019interposen a la traject\u00f2ria que segueixen els fotons. En efecte, els protons interaccionen amb els fotons, i els fan rebotar, canviant la seva direcci\u00f3 aleat\u00f2riament despr\u00e9s de cada xoc. En conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia, els fotons segueixen un cam\u00ed aleatori.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">El resultat de tots aquests rebots \u00e9s que la llum triga molt en sortir de l\u2019estrella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Els c\u00e0lculs per saber quant temps triga la llum en sortir del Sol, es fan gr\u00e0cies a un model matem\u00e0tic que simula l\u2019interior del Sol. Aquest model matem\u00e0tic t\u00e9 en compte el nombre de protons, la seva separaci\u00f3, la dist\u00e0ncia que ha de rec\u00f3rrer la llum, i sobretot la densitat de cada capa del Sol (el seu nucli \u00e9s la part m\u00e9s densa, i conforme ens n\u2019allunyem, les capes s\u00f3n cada cop menys denses). Els resultats d\u2019aquesta simulaci\u00f3 apunten a que els fotons estan a l\u2019interior del Sol uns 170 000 anys abans d\u2019arribar a la superf\u00edcie de l\u2019estrella. Tot i que aqu\u00ed parlo d\u2019uns 170 000 anys, hi ha altres resultats que apunten als mils, o desenes de milers d\u2019anys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Fora del Sol<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">En el moment en que la llum emesa fa uns 170 000 anys, al nucli del Sol, arriba a la seva superf\u00edcie, ja \u00e9s lliure de viatjar per l\u2019espai. Sense obstacles en el seu cam\u00ed, aquesta llum arriba a la Terra al cap de 8 minuts i 19 segons, despr\u00e9s d\u2019haver recorregut els 150 milions de kil\u00f2metres que separen el nostre planeta del Sol. Tot i aix\u00ed, ho far\u00e0 havent perdut molta de la seva energia inicial.
