Aquesta sonda va dur a terme moltes investigacions cient\u00edfiques sobre Venus durant el seu llarg temps de vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La <em>Venus Express<\/em> es va llen\u00e7ar des del cosm\u00f2drom de Baikonur (Kazakhstan), a bord d\u2019un vehicle de llan\u00e7ament <em>Soyuz-FG-Fregat<\/em> (una nova adaptaci\u00f3 del coet R-7), el 9 de novembre de 2005. La sonda va arribar a Venus a l\u2019abril de 2006, despr\u00e9s d\u2019aproximadament 6 mesos de navegaci\u00f3 per l\u2019espai. Quan va arribar a la seva destinaci\u00f3, va penetrar en una \u00f2rbita polar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>Descobriments de la Venus Express<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La sonda va realitzar diverses observacions a llarg terme dels n\u00favols i la din\u00e0mica atmosf\u00e8rica del planeta. El grup de cient\u00edfics que va analitzar les dades va veure que les observacions de la <em>Venus Express<\/em> ensenyaven que l\u2019atmosfera de Venus era encara m\u00e9s complexa del que es sospitava anteriorment. El cient\u00edfic itali\u00e0 Giuseppe Piccioni va explicar que les dades presentades per la sonda mostraven \u00ab<em>patrons repetitius i caracter\u00edstiques recurrents, per\u00f2 la seva disposici\u00f3 \u00e9s molt variable, tan a curt com a llarg termini. Varien sobretot en quant a la velocitat i la densitat<\/em>\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La <em>Venus Express<\/em> va realitzar bastants descobriments importants durant el seu per\u00edode operatiu, de quasi una d\u00e8cada. Va realitzar el primer mapa infraroig de la temperatura superficial de l\u2019hemisferi sud de Venus, el que va confirmar que, al passat, el planeta va posseir un sistema de plaques tect\u00f2niques i un oce\u00e0 de d\u2019aigua. La sonda tamb\u00e9 ens va proporcionar dades que indiquen que l\u2019atmosfera superior segueix perdent aigua, el que ens fa pensar que Venus va tenir m\u00e9s aigua al comen\u00e7ament de la seva hist\u00f2ria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>Expectatives de vida a Venus<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Encara que les dades de la <em>Venus Express <\/em>han acabat en gran mesura amb la teoria de que el planeta sigui un lloc a partir del qual pugui evolucionar la vida, encara no han fet perdre l\u2019esperan\u00e7a de que hi pugui existir vida. A m\u00e9s, recents descobriments apunten a la pres\u00e8ncia d\u2019un gas anomenat fosfina, que s\u2019associa normalment amb la vida. Aquest gas es situa a 50 km de la superf\u00edcie del planeta, i ens fa pensar que \u00e9s probable que existeixi vida microbiana flotant per la seva atmosfera, on les temperatures s\u00f3n m\u00e9s similars a les de la Terra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Tot i aix\u00ed, tenint unes temperatures uniformes en la seva superf\u00edcie d\u2019una mitjana de 422 \u00baC, i una gran pressi\u00f3 atmosf\u00e8rica, no \u00e9s molt probable que es desenvolupi una vida similar a la de la Terra.
